I'm running a Toshiba Regza 37hl17 off of an ATI Radeon 9600 vga+dvi card and having a few problems. Connection via db15 vga from pc to db15 vga on TV works ok at 1024x768/32bit/60hz. Connection from DVI port on pc to HDMI port on tv via monster cable dvi to hdmi cable not working. Previously tested card output ok on dvi monitor. Owners manual says this is possible but am I looking at an HDCP issue because I'm going from DVI to HDMI?
Next pc I build will have an HDMI card, any recommendations on cards?
This is the first time the HDMI ports are being used on the TV, getting a straight HDMI cable today to run from comcast HDMI cable box to one of them (3 on this model) to test input from HDTV cable provider.
Also the native resolution on this model is 1366 x 768 yet the specs say the HDMI is capable of 1080p. Does this mean it will accept a 1080p signal on the HDMI ports but scale it down? Also the manual says the max pc input is 1024x768, shouldn't I be able to set custom geometry via my graphics card software to get as close to the native resolution of the screen as possible?
Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!
