Input on HDTV Widescreen 34" Direct View " (1 Viewer)

Hi all. Could I kindly get some feedback on the following HDTV 34" widescreen units:
Panasonic 34WX53
Toshiba 34HFX83
Toshiba 34HF83
Philips 34PW8520
Philips 34PW9819
JVC AV-34WP84
I am replacing an old 36" Mitshubitsu TV in a family room, which mostly my children watch. There will be no AV unit, only a DVD player and a HDTV receiver. I already have HD satellite and OTA TV antenna operational. Another room in my home is the media room and I have a 50" plasma with 8 speaker surround sound and HD.
The units above are the only ones which fit into an existing built in.
The only reviews I find are by buyers. The feedback seems to give Panasonic good marks, Toshiba good marks and JVC fair. I find little on the Philips unit.
So before I blindly purchase, I would appreciate any comments on the merits or cons on these units, suggestions, firsthand knowledge, etc. Are the Toshiba 34HFX83 and the Plilips 34PW9819 worth the additional expense.

I just bought the Toshiba 34HFX83 and it's an amazing improvement on my old set, a 46" Hitach RPTV. Both over the air tv programs and dvd's look greatly improved.
