Thanks for the lovely detailed review, Matt! I am quite looking forward to picking this one up. Huge fan of the comics, so I saw the movie on release day and own the extended edition on DVD. I thought it looked pretty good, but hearing that this one is reference-level Blu is just even better news.

I never gotten around to buying the SE DVD (though I quite liked the film), so I'll be picking this up when I'm in NYC--as somebody else mentioned earlier in the thread, I don't want the Alliance version. I haven't seen the film since I saw it in the theatre, so I'll be in for a real treat!

I'm glad they didn't feel the need to pull a "LOTR-like" stunt with this.
