Good reviews from fellow posters that I respect can definitely influence my purchases....I will state here and now that the fans kept me away from buying Dawson's Creek (LOL...it's true!), and also Roseanne. However, sometimes I'm on the fence about one or two things and in those cases, the fans can get me excited about something and I'll run out and buy it. I was on the fence about buying 3's Company but reading the reviews here made me run out and start my set. Now I have all 6 seasons so far.

I'm like most people here.I don't read the reviews for shows I know I'm going to get.For shows I'm "on the fence" about getting I read the reviews,to find out if the episodes are complete,with good picture and sound quality.
