Been 12 years since buying HT components, need help. (1 Viewer)

As title says, have not purchased HT components for about 12 years other than HDTV and DVD player. New family/theater room will be completed soon in a finished basement. Looking for some thoughts on the following receivers(or possible new). Will be utilizing a 6500 Series Samsung Plasma for TV with Direct TV HD receiver, Blu-Ray player, CD player, PS3 and Wii for other components. Room is approximately 13' W x 24' L. Not sure if I will need 7.1 but will will probably start off using as 5.1 then add other 2 at a later time. Also, would like to be able to utilize the HDMI from the satellite receiver without having the stereo receiver on when watching regular programs but be able to utilize it when watching movies and such. I agree based on your choices. The Denon listed is a little out of date so that is why that is not in the running (HDMI is 1.3a). Onkyo I have never been impressed with at all though you will find people here who swear by it.
