Good for you, but I think you're in the minority (no facts to back that up!). I get tempted sometimes. But as I've said I'm still buying it; great show (& with S3 of Just shoot Me, a really good start to the year).
TVshowsonDVD.com just confirmed that the Andy Richter DVDs are widescreen. They show the back cover art for the DVD set and it looks like the aspect ratio is 16:9.
Everyone is so busy rejoicing over the aspect ratio thing that nobody seems to have noticed that the back cover also has a disclaimer about music replacement.
You can change the thread title to "Andy Richter Controls the (music-substituted) Universe" now.
Yikes! I need to know more about this. Are we talking about one or two pieces of incidental music or did they replace the entire soundtrack a la "The Fugitive"?
Paramount has that disclaimer on almost all their titles now to cover their ass. So you can't tell if there is or isn't any changes to music until it comes out.
I remember Early Edition, for example, had the "edited episodes" disclaimer, and the only thing anyone could find was that the Sony logo that were on the original network broadcasts had been removed.
With Paramount these days, it really is a crapshoot.
