You're not into it because you're a geek. It's because the Star Trek universe is that damn awesome.:) Almost everyone at least likes it. Whether they admit it or not is another thing entirely. There are a good many closet Star Trek fans out there.

Is it possible that they may be refering to a maximum capacity and not how many the ship is required to have? Think about it, if they have all the hanger bay filled to capacity with all six capable shuttle craft were would visitors ships shuttles dock and unload? In which case it would make...

Siddig al Fadil (Bashir) is related to Malcolm McDowell. McDowell is in Star Trek Generations. So, I guess the question works the other way around as well.

Sorry to hold everyone up. Here's one, on the Enterprise D from TNG, out of all the crucial facilities on board, what is there only "one" of. Here's a hint, Jonathan Frakes joked about this in a Star Trek behind the scenes special. He even pointed it out on the ships schematic.

Also, Kelsey Grammer's character from "Cause and Effect" is heard on the comm of the Enterprise while engaged with the Borg at the beggining of "First Contact" the movie. Technically, it's just a voice role. Kirstey Alley( Rebecca) played Savik in "Star Trek 2" and Kate Mulgrew( Capt. Janeway)...
