I don't think it is the show that needs to be shelved. It is Berman & Braga. I cannot believe how much slack these guys are getting from Paramount. If you have good writing Trek could go on for many more years.

I thought the episode was pretty good. One thing I have noticed is how people have criticized the various Xidi species. I am going to give the Trek production staff kudos for it. A lot of people(including me) have complained about how all the Trek aliens seem to be humans with something attached...
