According to a member of the John Doe fan club who posted at another board. The producers wanted to explain everthing this season and then move on. But, Fox said save it for the next season. :rolleyes -

This sucks! What is up with Fox? They give no show a chance to develop. X-Files today would have been cancelled in the first season. :rolleyes::angry:
