At which point maybe the Leafs can swing a trade with them, ( not for Luongo ) but for one of our (Leafs) Goalie's going the other way. You know whomever of Reimer or Bernier end up no#2, they're going to want out. Of course Halak, Varlamov, Hiller , Elliot and most enticing of all Miller...
Indeed I've heard good things about him as well. But surely they could have gotten a more immediate return for Schneider. The problem as I see it with that trade, is that although Horvat is a tremendous prospect 1. There are no guarantee with prospects, no matter how high they're drafted...
Well, the Leafs just landed Bernier from L.A. : http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/nhl/story/2013/06/23/sp-nhl-hockey-maple-leafs-jonathan-bernier.html
Not sure how happy I am with the trade. Reimer played great for us last season, and just about got us past Boston, except for the last 5...
Well at the time there was a real push to make the playoffs .. we had been rebuilding for so long that Burke pulled the trigger. It's far too early to comment on Hamilton IMO, but I think the trade benefited both teams. I don't think we'll be able to fairly judge for about 4 or 5 more years...
Well the jury is still out on this trade. I myself am a Kessel fan. He certainly trounced Seguin in terms of numbers during that playoff series. In fact I'm not sure Seguin had a goal. As far as Hamilton and Knight go, only time will tell. Right now though Kessel's just hitting his prime...
Let me tell you man, being from TO, and having our first playoffs in what, 9 years? that game absolutely KILLED US. There was so much excitement, thousands of fans in the streets watching the game ( in the pouring rain no less ) on big screens, we had our highest TV ratings ever to date...
If Rask plays like he has been there's no stopping Boston. I can't believe we ( Toronto ) gave up Rask for Raycroft, one of the worst trades ever.
In addition, that 3 goal comeback with 5 minutes remaining in the third of the first round against the Leafs gives the current run a feel of...
Boston doing so well is killing me ... We ( Toronto ) were SO close to beating them, we basically beat them except for the last 5 minutes. Worst hockey game moment of my life. I keep thinking, if they had just held on, maybe we'd have actually had a shot at getting to the cup, seeing as...
