I always said, get Phil Collins involved in this. He is a man of international fame, and his daughter is just entering the film industry herself. His passion has always been all things "Alamo". Seems he could lend some of his considerable clout, to see why MGM is not moving on this project.

Hopefully you are referring to best supporting actor, and not best picture. IMO, The Apartment was one of the least deserving Best Picture winners, in the history of the academy.

Hi Joe, No, I'm just an avid John Wayne fan, who is sick over the thought of The Alamo Roadshow film elements turning into glue in some warehouse in southern California.

What we need is for the Wayne Family (estate) to purchase the film from MGM, and then to start a grass roots campaign to restore the roadshow version for it's eventually release to HD. Betcha Ethan Wayne would be up for a project like this.
