Another option is to advance the timeline by several years, after Samaratan is absolute and has been running the world on autopilot for awhile.
The show may very well end up resembling a "1984" style post-apocalyptic type of world. Sorta like season 5 of Fringe, but without the time-travel stuff.
Hopefully this will go in a new surprising direction, instead of retreading old ground already done in other franchises (ie. Skynet from Terminator, etc ...).
One direction that I hope it doesn't devolve into, is another post-apocalyptic tv show. (Such as Fringe season 5, Revolution, etc ...).
Vigilance turned out to be a "false flag" operation.
I get the impression the next season might resemble something in the style of "The Fugitive" or a smarter version of "The A-Team".
Without spoiling too much.
Season 4 may very well possibly turn out to be a very different tv show, than the previous three seasons.
(Won't say any more until after 11 pm EST).
With the upcoming final showdown of the two machines, Vigilance, Decima, etc ... wonder what they will do next season.
(With no more HR, and the actor playing Elias busy as lead on another tv show "Remedy" ).
Interesting article on how the show's producers view The Machine, and how the rest of the season may play out.

In principle if one knows the approximate time period a system was made, one can guess what type of storage system might have been used. Most likely an off-the-shelf type of system that was easily available on the market during that specific time period.
It would be somewhat surprising if...
On a tangent, wonder if how Holloway's character sees things from his point of view (in Intelligence), is similar to how Root sees things from her point of view (in POI).
Wonder what Root will do now, after escaping.
At the final scene of tonight's episode (Aletheia), was that Julian Sand's character that was in the season 2 episode "Critical" ? (A former MI-6 agent). Or was it John Nolan's character "Greer" that ran Decima Technologies?
At first, I didn't think it was a sudden defining moment.
It may turn out to be one later in hindsight, if it has big consequences for Elias later in the season (or subsequent seasons).
(A question for more technical minded posters).
In the fictional universe of "Person of Interest", is P = NP or is P != NP ?

I felt this way too, but further back in season 2.
I didn't really watch season 1 in its original first-run broadcast. I started watching PoI sometime during the first part of season 2. I was randomly channel surfing and noticed Michael Emerson was on the show, which sorta kept my attention...
Second episode was kinda average. Though the new antagonists fighting for privacy, looks interesting.
This new faction sounds like a violent version of Snowden/Assange/Manning.
Hopefully the season 2 bluray price will have tumbled down to around $25 (or less) by black friday.
Last year around black friday, I picked up the season 1 bluray/dvd combo set for around $25 at Walmart. (Previously, I didn't watch season 1 at all).
I don't know if I'll pick up season 2...
To be exact, it's a feed of the CTV network serving the Atlantic time zone (AST). (The feed appears to be serving the Halifax and Fredericton areas, judging by the local "news" clips and local advertisements on the channel).
It appears what they've been doing in this AST feed with 10pm EST...
