I agree, more or less, but in fact often we can watch great old movies with beautiful restorations. All About Eve, The Wizard of Oz, Lawrence of Arabia, and hundreds and hundreds of other movies from the 1930s to the 1980s and been beautifully restored, often from the original camera negatives...

I can tell a big difference between DVD and blu-ray on my 42" Sony, and so I'm a little puzzled by the comment that there seems no difference with a 65" set.
