The DTV, assuming you're talking about New Frontier, is not part of the JL/JLU TV series. While it's the same director (Bruce Timm), it will look nothing like the TV series and won't be part of the same continuity. Might be a good DTV, but it's not really even close to a follow-up to the series.

IIRC, all the news from back in late '03 and early '04 referred to the first 26 episodes of JLU as two seasons of 13 episodes. I believe they were made as part of one big order with two smaller broadcast seasons in mind. I think Bruce Timm even referred to The Once and Future King as the first...
