Other than Pierce Brosnan, I like Mamma Mia. Of course it is definitely the least classic of the classic musicals.

It was at my local Landmark owned theater this month they are showing classic musicals on Tuesdays. Last week was The Wizard Of Oz, last night Cabaret, next week Mamma Mia, and the following week Grease. It looked and sounded excellent.

I just got back from seeing a screening of Cabaret. It was great seeing Liza much more healthy and vibrant than she was when she recently presented best picture.

If you want to cut down the length of the program have the best original songs performances happen during commercials and then play the winning song only during the program. Post the other performances online after the ceremony. Keep all the awards televised.
