I went again today. Same multiplex, different screen. Picture was still gorgeous, audio was lower than I would have liked. Theater turned on house lights during entr'acte and a manager announced that the intermission was 2 minute, half the audience still left.

I thought the last scene of Gravity was shot 70mm.

I'm pretty sure it was in 4K, it looked better to me than many of the films made today. I would love it if people used 70mm as a capture medium for 4K finished movies.

I'm going to the Fathom Event tonight I wonder how they will display the 2.2:1 aspect ratio. Will they pillar box the scope screen or letterbox the 1.85 screen.
