The theater I prefer going to just plays 3 - 4 trailers starting at ticket time and the movie starts 8 - 11 minutes after the time on the ticket. -

Last night at Regal they started playing 10 minutes of ads (Not trailers) at ticket time, that was followed by 10 - 15 minutes of trailers.
