I can't see it being viewed as anything other than poor taste but I imagine some minor league streamer would pick it up mostly to get some new subscribers.

That would be my take on it too which is really sick. However, since it's an independent, it's a western and a person died working on it, I doubt it will get a 'real' theatrical release. That segment is good and George Miller's remake on Nightmare On 20,000 Feet is arguably even better than the...

In this case, I actually think that Baldwin's celebrity is working against him. If this was just some unknown character actor, I don't think they'd be up on charges right now. I think the DA is using Baldwin as a way to further their future political aspirations. Even when they lose the case...

Yep and it won't have anything to do with Baldwin's celebrity or that he has high-priced downtown lawyers. It'll be because this is a case that shouldn't have been brought.

I'd say it's a DA that's looking towards their own political future and decided that the loss is worth it because, even without a conviction, they can now say how they're tough on big, fancy city slickers from Hollywood.

If Baldwin takes a plea deal, it would be to save money on a team of lawyers & the stress of a trial and have zero to do with the optics of saying he's not guilty.

Oh yeah, the armorer is going to prison but Baldwin needs to worry about civil court, not criminal.

They're not and they know it. It's a performance (not to mention a waste of money, time and resources) to show that they're tough on everyone... even *gasp* Hollywood people.

Correct. The Landis segment was the only original story used for the movie. And I guess the prologue and epilogues are technically new too.

I saw the footage on TV so fortunately, it cut away before anyone was actually killed. As for the movie, the Morrow segment isn't that good (admittedly, my view is probably clouded by the tragedy surrounding it) and I'm about as big of a Spielberg fan as you'll ever find but he adapted a...

After Morrow's death, the movie was reworked and that scene is definitely not in the movie. The footage was shown at Landis and company's criminal trial so you probably saw portions of it via a documentary on that.

I'd guess that they shot enough of the movie that they don't need to spend that much more money to finish it. Coupling that with knowing that some people will watch this simply because someone died making it likely means they think they can make money by completing and releasing it.
