Is your player's firmware up to date? By no means am I an authority but if you've gotten a replacement disc and it has the same problems, I'd bet that it was the firmware.

That's how I look at it too. Yep. I was highly doubtful that any significant changes would be made but to their credit, Universal has proven me wrong. Thumbs up to the folks who pointed out the problems and to Universal for listening to them and making corrections.

Last year, they messed up one title card on Halloween II and they corrected that disc & set up an exchange program. That's why I imagine that Frenzy's titles will be fixed (and my own pessimism makes me think that'll be the end of the corrections but until reviews come out, hope springs eternal).

Me neither. People are certainly voicing doubt about the corrections and what the results of the final product will be but I can think of much uglier threads from the past.

Very true. However, I do think this is the most likely outcome: If they fix it in a reasonable amount of time, I see no reason to go crazy or gnash my teeth.

I always wait to sell discs until I can compare them but I'd be shocked if either the North By Northwest or Psycho discs have any differences. Why would they waste the time or money on doing that when they can just put existing discs into the set?

I haven't heard specifically but Universal hasn't released the Back To The Future or Jurassic Park movies individually yet so it seems like they can wait to break up their sets.
