Thanks to that article, I no longer feel stupid for having drawn a parallel between Leslie facing roadblocks while trying to build a park in early episodes of the series and The Wire's look at governmental gridlock.
There's a really great and in-depth interview with Michael Schur over at the AV Club.

I'm assuming/hoping that the camera crew will follow Tom at his new job. Until Jean-Ralphio ruins their business and Tom has to return to the parks department.
And the two times that Ron cried during his life were hilarious.
April's Janet Snakehole character made me laugh. Especially when she was loaded and rapidly speaking Spanish. Actually, everyone loaded was pretty funny.
And how old is April that she even knows who Neutral Milk Hotel is?
OK, I guess you can't quote people and also type your thoughts about that post anymore.
Anyway, with regards to Josh wondering about the baseball SFX. I thought they were playing softball (due to April's underhand pitch).
^ I liked when Tom used more of his short hand in conversation and they quickly cut back to the talking head interview to have him explain and then back to the scene.
Eventhough I've been a vegatarian for more than a decade, I still understand and share Ron's hatred of healthy food stores.
I gotta say that when the story started heading towards April and Andy marrying, I wondered what the hell the writers were thinking but they won me over. I guess it was Ron's speech to Leslie about how he waited and his weddings all ended in divorce.
After the nuclear bomb detonated, he and two guys beat up an Arab dude that was working with Jack, stole the computer file that Bauer needed to prove the conspiracy and kidnapped Jack's kinda love interest. He looks real different without the moustache but his voice sounds the same.
I very vaguely knew who Nick Offerman was from guest spots on shows that I like (he was a redneck in the second season of 24, a cowboy that shows his weiner on Deadwood, a wacky cousin on Gilmore Girls) but since he was a supporting player, I'm surprised as anyone to see how good he is in a big...
That was probably my favorite episode of the year. I liked that Ron was as excited as everyone else about Lil Sebastian and his refusal to hold hands with everyone was funny.
To paraphrase a line from the episode, I awesome sauce this show.
While I think Community is a great show, I have the same exact feelings. That second season premiere when Leslie inadvertantly married the two male penguins won me over and I've loved the show since then. I've rewatched the S1 episodes and they play much better now that I like the characters and...
My guess is that they just chose to break up Tom and Natalie Morales' character out so they can have stories where Tom is jealous of Ron dating his ex-wife and she'll be back at some point. Plus, many of these episodes were shot in the spring or early summer (so they could have episodes to air...
In previous episodes, I found Rob Lowe's character a semi-annoying oddball but his 'origin' story really won me over. Plus, his crying over Leslie's speech was really funny.
Also, I agree with a surprising number of Ron's rules.
