I don't know for sure but it sounds like that's the 'X' that you hit to get rid of the menu when you bring up the menu during the movie. I don't know why it would be there on the main menu though.
Eventhough I have no interest in purchasing the box set, I think that it looks like a very nice package. I'd love if something like that was released for a Star Wars Blu-ray.
^ I can't speak to this presentation but I think alot of the negative buzz about Fathom was when they were playing an, at best, upconverted DVD transfer on a movie theater screen. Now that they're using HD transfers, I imagine that they're alot better.
That's what I would think too. But to play devil's advocate, they can sell alot less copies at 2 or 2 1/2 times the cost of a regular Blu-ray and still make the same amount (or more) and then eventually sell a regular Blu-ray at some point in the future and make even more money.
If it doesn't sell, I can't imagine that they won't know why. I'm not wishing ill will on Warners but I do hope that they stop this type of release and if poor sales are the way to that, so be it.
Sure and at 3 or 4 times the cost of the regular release, they can sell alot less copies and still have a profitable release. However, it stands to reason that if they released a regular and box set that they'd be able to make more money because they'd sell to both the hardcore and casual fans.
I'll admit that The Wizard Of Oz isn't at the top of my list to buy yet again but increasing the price for extra stuff that I have no interest in absolutely guarantees that I'll never buy this release. Why not release the super set for hardcore fans and a discs-only set for the casual fan or...
