The Saturday morning cartoon episode was one of the best they've ever done. Whoever came up with the idea of headless Agnew clone riding a motorcycle with Nixon's head in a jar sitting in the sidecar is a genius.
This is the latest active Futurama thread that I could find so I'll post here but the second half of Season Seven starts on June 19.
And the bad news is that Comedy Central has decided to not renew the show for another season after these remaining 13 episodes. Rumor has it that it's already...
Really nice ending to the season.
While there was no amazing episode in this or the previous run, they were still almost all solidly funny episodes so I'm happy that the show was brought back.
Depending on what coast you're on, right now. :) Looking at Comedy Central's schedule, it's also on tomorrow at 10:30 PM and 11 PM, Monday at 3 AM and 3:30 AM, Thursday at 1 AM (just the first episode) and Thursday night at 9 PM and 9:30 PM before the new episode.
I don't know for sure but I'm...
Same here. As far as I'm concerned, there haven't been any great episodes this year but they've still all been solidly funny episodes (and I'm perfectly happy with that).
That link leaves off the last paragraph of the story from The Toronto Star:
"A Fox spokesman, reacting to this story, insisted that only two of the cast have so far signed the deal, but later added that they expect to have the matter resolved by the end of the day."
Sounds good!
There's a Futurama panel tomorrow at the San Diego Comic Con so I'm sure someone will make some statement about the situation (even if it's just "We remain hopeful to work something out").
Same here. I'm not one of those whiny 'fans' who complain about every aspect of the show and still continues to watch but I doubt I will even give episodes with different actors a chance. Normally, I'm not that close minded but the actors bring so much to those characters that there's just no...
I don't know for sure but I'd guess that they were probably already locked into their own deals and never really thought it would get to the point where the cast might not be back anyway.
Translation: They're bargaining right now and the cast made it public to get some momentum on their side. And I wish them the best of luck because without them, there's no (watchable) show.
I thought the movies got a bum rap. They weren't as great as the best episodes but some fans really tore them apart.
I like the end of the last movie as a series finale but I'm still looking forward to two seasons of new episodes. At least, I assume it's two years of episodes since I can't...
