Scott, I'd agree with you ifit was anyone but Tony. :) I'm sure they'll give some (ridiculous) reason how Tony survived and why his survival was kept secret. He was 'only' poisoned as opposed to being shot or being exposed to nerve gas so I guess saving him on the way to the hospital isn't as...

If Fox is already ruining something like that in a press release four months before the episodes start to run, I wish good luck to anyone who wants to be surprised when the episode actually airs because it'll be in every commercial that they run. EDIT: By the way, that's f-in' awesome news. :)

According to AICN, Rhys Coiro (who plays maniac director Billy Walsh on Entourage) is playing a character on a few episodes of 24 next season. http://www.aintitcool.com/node/33875

I've got no problem with Janeane Garafalo or her (or any actor's) politics. My only 'fear' is having a comedic actress in a drama but, as has been pointed out, she's been doing dramatic work for years now. Plus, I can't imagine that the producers and casting director are stunt casting Janeane...

I just checked out the IMDB and Janeane Garafalo has been doing lots of work lately and it's more dramatic roles (like The West Wing). I did like her on Seinfeld and her cameo on The Sopranos back in the second season was funny. The only dramatic work I've seen of hers was a small role in...

It's total guess work based on when Fox released the S3 to S5 DVDs and when S4 to S6 started airing. For the last three years, the DVDs came out in the first week of December and the show started on a Sunday in the middle of January.

You mean the S6 DVDs? It'll probably be released on December 4. And I'd guess that S7 will probably start airing on January 13, 2008.

I always thought they skipped the silent clock for Tony because of two things- they used it for Edgar in the episode right before Tony died and the music really swells into the 'clock sound' at the end of the episode as opposed to the score just getting cut off by silence. For what it's...

I agree. Novick isn't in Seasons Three and Six and those are generally regarded as the weakest years- coincidence? :)

According to executive producer Howard Gordon, the decision to scratch the Africa storyline was mutual between the show and Fox because they couldn't make the story work (and it was too expensive). I'm glad to see they aren't afraid to say that what they had done wasn't working and scrapped it...

My guess is that Jack was not going to be in Africa (like how he's not in Washington, D.C. but portions of 24 storylines take place there). If he had been in Africa, I would have wanted to see him fight a lion... and win.:)

Over TV Guide's site, Ausiello is saying that production on Season Seven has been delayed a few weeks because Fox has scrapped plans for the show to shoot some episodes IN Africa. http://community.tvguide.com/blog/TV...port/700000049 It's too bad they can't shoot there but it shows that...

Last I heard, the movie is on hold until the series is over. I always wondered how they would shoot a season, shoot the movie and then shoot the next season all in a row like that. I guess they realized that they couldn't. :)

If the White House didn't know about the helicopter at all, that would answer Chris' question about why they would just let it fly away from the oil rig. So the White House either knew it was Jack in the helicopter or they didn't know it was there but I can't think of any (logical) reason for...

    24: Season Six thread

Considering CTU is in constant contact with the White House and they had more than twenty minutes between when Jack and Buchanan stole the chopper and when the airstrike occured, Nadia would have told Daniels what Bauer was planning on doing. Jack's plan wouldn't stop Daniels from carrying out...

It's not a secret, the producers say that's how they do it. They also made it up as they went along (but made it work) in Seasons Four and Five.

    24: Season Six thread

Why wouldn't Morris be the father? They've been together prior to the beginning of the season. Either way, I don't think it matters because I'd bet that everyone but Kiefer Sutherland (and maybe Mary Lynn Rajskub) aren't going to be returning next season.

They've already said that they're going to plan a little more ahead when they do next season. While I think their luck ran out this year, I don't think making it up as they go is all bad- Season Three was planned ahead (as much as 24 gets planned anyway) and Seasons Four and Five weren't planned...

Beyond changing the locale (which could be cool) and thus the cast, how much can you really change the show? Jack is still going to be stopping the bad guys from doing bad things by kicking their ass. It's not like he is going to be stopping crime by heading up a crime scene investigation unit. :)

I love Cassar's work on the show but Bryan Spicer has done some great work this year (like episode 17 with the sequence where Jack kills Fayed and his men and stops the suitcase nukes).
