I know what you're talking about but I think it speaks to the quality of the music that you even recognize the cue when you're hearing it again. There's not many shows on TV today where I would recognize any of the music if I heard it again in another episode.
Exodus (Part One) has a scene that I think is a series highlight when they set sail on the raft and Giachinno's score swells and Vincent starts to swim out to Walt. I'm not even remotely a dog lover and I find that scene to be very emotional.
Not that I can think of but I also can't think of another show where they'd have the need to recreate a scene as big as that.
They also recreated the crash again for an episode in S3 using newly shot stuff and unused footage from the pilot episode.
For Walkabout, they recreated the crash for a few shots (like Locke laying on the ground looking at his foot and then him standing up and running off to help Jack).
More than 100 episodes later, I still think Walkabout is the best episode of alot of great work.
Paul, you have to click on the text in the middle of the page where it says: Oceanic Airlines In Flight Exclusive Click here every week to test your knowledge. If you answer correctly, you will be added to a special email list to receive communications directly from the LOST writing team...
Paul, it took some searching but here you go. It's hidden in the Oceanic Airline website. http://www.oceanic-air.com/inflightmagazine.htm Click on the text in the middle and you have to answer the following question: "What does Kate use to try and open the dynamite crate?" A Pick Ax...
I guess, unlike most people, I don't feel that I'm entitled to something just because I watch a show. If I didn't like what's happening, I'd tune out. And to call someone an 'apologist' indicates that that person feels there is something to apologize for. Since I don't think that the show has...
Why would an episode that good need to be defended? They didn't show what is in the hatch? ow dare they make the show the way they want to and show things at their own pace? The finale was great but some people are never gonna be happy no matter what they did and that raises the question "Why do...
I guess my problem is that the shows that I watch the Season Premiere time frame IS the November time frame. So those shows sorta cut out that sweeps period. :) Either way, playing eleven episodes in the first twelve weeks of the show is what caused the 'problem' of so many reruns. That's...
Rick, I just found this info in another thread. With the reruns, they're skipping around but they are playing the finale. So you'll want to tune in on September 14th. http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htfo...38#post2738438
The wait won't seem as bad if they don't play 9 or 10 episodes right at the beginning of the season again. They need to spread them out better. Sure, it was cool when they aired so many in a row but then it was a pain in the ass when there was weeks of reruns:)
Awesome episode, awesome finale, and awesome season! What a truly great year this show had. All the fan and critical praise they've gotten is more than deserved. I just hope that they can keep up the same level of quality for next year too:)
I doubt it because they'd probably be plugging the hell out of the fact that the last hour is 'commercial free' if it were. I could be wrong but I guess we'll find out in a little more than an hour and a half. :)
I want to know why Sawyer wants to leave the island on the raft. It'll be a dangerous journey and it seems strange for Sawyer to put his butt on the line when he could sit back and just wait for someone else to set sail, get picked up and send a rescue boat. I don't think they'll really address...
Terry O'Quinn was also in two episodes of The X-Files (as two separate characters). He was in a main character in Harsh Realm. And there's also his run on Alias. Awesome to see him to get some overdue notice!
That's actually a very interesting list. I guess this is obvious but the more 'moral' people seem to be getting conned (Jack or Locke) as opposed to the morally 'corrupt' that con people (Sawyer or Kate).
