Paramount is already looking at making the 'G.I. Joe' sequel/reboot their big summer 2012 tentpole film. Disney's "The Lone Ranger" has also been added to the Holiday 2012 schedule and I think the more time goes by the more likely it seems that the Star Trek flick will be a summer 2013...
