That's not as masochistic as watching it 4 or 5 times in a theater. You only saw it once. As for the DVD, I guess that's understandable, but I've never bought a DVD of a film I didn't like. Different strokes for different folks.
Then I understand that. Although I still don't understnad going to see a film you dislike numerous times. It's like masochism. You're torturing yourself. But if people like doing that, the more power to them. Though I'll never understand it.
I'm not getting any work done. Luckily, I'm my own...
I said that was his weakest performance. But I wouldn't call it laughable. I've seen laughable. As for digital projection, it wasn't at the theater I saw it in. Maybe in your's Robert. But the vast majority don't even have digital projection yet.
Mark Hamill never had a desire to be a big actor. Also, he was far more identifiable to Star Wars than Harrison Ford. He was forever thought of as Luke Skywalker. As for Laughable, he wasn't laughable in anything.
You wanna see laughable, go watch the new Scorpion King trailer with The Rock...
Mark Hamill was good in my opinion. His weakest performance was in ANH, but in ESB and ROTJ, I thought he and everyone else was solid. I wouldn't trade Mark Hamill for any actor on the planet. He made that role.:)
I'm sorry, but for people that constantly go to see films they despise, I don't understand that. Especially in the theaters, for whatever reason. You guys need help. What other conclusion can anyone come to. It's the same argument that someone who hates a film, yet buys the DVD and gives certain...
Whoever said that? Although it must be said that the overwhelming majority that saw it multiple times probably like like it, or love it. ANyone who hated it, yet saw it more than once needs some serious psychiatric help.
 @ Chuck. These guys have obviously never heard of Fandango. But it...
Al, FL = Forbidden Love. And you can find them at www.movie-list.com. There are 3 trailers. One is a teaser called Breathing. The second was a trailer made for fans that you could access through the DVD of TPM. The third is called Forbidden Love, and was seen with some copies of Harry Potter and...
Al, I was very impressed with the trailers. I personally don't see how you were unimpressed. As for Natalie, she looked great, and seemed much more at ease and relaxed. Ewan look great as well. Anakin looked stiff in a couple lines, but nothing that would destroy the film. I'm certainly not...
So you think a few posts on IMDB is indicative of millions? By the way, I don't know what you think a 7 out of a possible 10 is, but it's pretty damn good.
Al, I haven't made an unknowledgeable judgement that opposes your's where I flatly said "AOTC is gonna rock." I haven't seen the film. Neither have you. But then you make a statement as if fact, that this movie is gonna suck. Quite frankly, I couldn't care if you hate it. If you feel that way...
No disrespect to Al, but if you're worried about what he says about Star Wars, then you might as well not see anything with the name Star Wars on it. Only Al would judge a film based on 1 minute. You'll forgive me Al if I don't buy your intelligent:rolleyes:assessment of this film. Stay home...
As they say kami, the first impression is always the most accurate.
Robert, if you took it to mean that Paul was stating most here at Home Theater Forum liked it, then yes, that may be wrong. I think he was referring to most people who say the film.
Box office does not reveal the quality of a film, but it does to a certain degree tell whether people liked it. You can't tell me with a straight face, well maybe Robert can, that a film does a massive 430 million, but nobody liked it. That makes no sense.
I'm not saying the huge box office...
Paul is right. Regardless of how anyone here feels about the film, TPM would not have done the massive business it did if the majority of people hated it. To do the massive business it did, required repeat viewing, and not just from hardcore Star Wars fans. A lot of casual movie-goers had to...
TF.N reported that the entire boy band was not in the film. Only 3 of the 5 are in the film. So maybe before it's over, there will be none in the film.:D
