We each have our own Apple ID for icloud, mail, messages FaceTime and use a third one for buying apps & iTunes. You could do the same with just 2 Apple IDs -- separate IDs, but use only one of the two for purchases.
Yeah, the one CC thing is fine, but I'm pretty sure I hit the "free apps don't support "Family Sharing", which leads to weird and inexplicably difficult to fix download problems."
At home my wife and I simply use the same Apple ID for all purchases on all devices, and that has been problem free.
I'd agree with you totally, if it wasn't for my 2009 Mac Pro. That thing is future proof. I can see myself using it for another 5 years... And I'd see myself buying a CPU maxed out used 2012 Mac Pro before I get a "trash can". Presumably in the future one will be able to buy a graphics card...
Long story short - after a long call with AppleCare which got escalated up the ranks, the solution was as simple as logging out and logging back in my dad's AppleID from his iPad to be. Then after I downloaded a few apps, a new equally bogus and bizarre error started happening. I repeated the...
You should wait a year: you'll get yet another leap in CPU/GPU, possibly better storage options per $$ and you will see how the much rumored iPad Pro pans out.
Got mine Monday, love it, to say it is night and day from my old iPad (3) would be the understatement of the year. Too busy enjoying it to post here :)
I have an (urgent) question about Family Sharing: I am giving my dad my old iPad, I've erased/set it up with his existing Apple ID and...
Me too. (FWIW the iPad 1 with 3G was the heaviest - coincidentally the only other iPad I ever had). Not worried about it being too light, especially since I'm using a full case, not just a cover. I carry my iPad with me everywhere but on dog walks/bike rides. The grandfathered unlimited data...
Stopped by my local (UWS) Apple Store: they have iPad Air 2s in stock (big pile of boxes), WiFi only. Cellular? "Late this week or early next week". So, back to hitting refresh on my order status I go.
But, anyone who needs a WiFi iPad, go to your Apple Store (especially if you are in NYC).
My still says "processing". Meanwhile OTA 8.1 killed my iPad 3, had to do a restore/update/setup as new. Could be a hardware problem: the Air 2 can't get here soon enough
PS Asked at the local (UWS) Apple Store when the new iPads are coming: no clue. Either they genuinely don't know or have...
Agree with every word. Unfortunately, to me iOS 6 to 7 UI redesign falls in that category as well. Maybe promoting Jony Ive and firing Scott Forstall was a great personnel decision for Apple and made for a happier and healthier work environment, but I liked Forstall software design approach...
How did you guys get better delivery dates??? I ordered that morning 128 GB Wifi+Cellular Space Gray, and mine delivers 24 - 28... Any indication on when brick and mortars are getting it?
Both the iPad and iPad(3) both cellular versions, I got on opening day from the the B&M Apple Store with...
