is there anything different about the cowboy bebop: best sessions? or is it the same episodes that are available on the individual cd's. since i already have the perfect sessions i'm not sure this would be worthwhile?
kong - you got beserk vol 4 already?!?! ack! i'm jealous. i'm hoping my...
pokes head around corner...
"Eh? An all anime channel? That would be so cool. Can I get a Woo-Hoo? No...not a Woo-Jae...a Woo-Hoo!!!"
:D
seriously though, this would be pretty cool. would they show "first run" type anime do you think?
btw - i had the 'band of brothers' dvd set in one...
that's good news!
btw - it's being dubbed in english? thank goodness...i can't stand reading those subtitles!

what exactly is the definition for "manga"? i was trying to explain it to a friend when i realized i wasn't even sure myself! :)
i told her it was kind of like a "japanese comic book" or "graphical novel"....but i'm not sure if that's really correct or appropriate.
jim -
jin-roh didn't really do it for me. it was just too...dunno...not exactly slow...kinda hard to put my finger on it. maybe too sombre? anyway...it wasn't terrible by any means, but i'd recommend a rental first if you can. the animatation is first-rate though.
i just saw gunsmith cats...
hey guys -
i think my best buy goofed up. i picked up grave of the fireflies yesterday.

welp...sunday was beserk day for me. my friend brought over the first three dvd's. we ordered a pizza, sat down and braced ourselves.
i was not disappointed.
the first few episodes didn't really do it for me. i thought the story was average. the animation was okay, but those "still shots"...
did any of you catch ebert and roeper's review of spirited away? they both gave it a very enthusiastic review. :emoji_thumbsup:
i was pretty sure ebert would like it - he seems to enjoy anime. i remember him giving a pretty good review for 'metropolis' too.
i was glad to see even roeper...
hellsing sounds like something i may dig. i really enjoy the "slick" recent anime stuff.
anyone have any screen-shots? :D
btw joe - congrats on your website's anniversary! :emoji_thumbsup:
finally, something i can chime in on! ;)
doug - i say go for the outlaw star boxset. i didn't realize it's only 65 bucks...heck...i may pick it up myself.
"fun" is a really appropriate word to describe it. i like the characters and stories. it has action, humor and just about everything...
happy b-day kong!
they say it's your birthday..nah nah nah nah nah nah nah na!....
happy anniversary john!

ps - it's only your second anniversary man! you gotta get her sumthin! :D surprise her and all that good stuff! sorry if i'm being nosy! :D
jehan - if you're looking to get the gasaraki boxset (i assume it's the same boxset sold elsewhere?), check out best-buy. they had several of them for about 109.00. that's only 10 bucks more than ddd and you won't have to wait! i had that darn thing in my hands...then i realized i need to...
jason - read joe's review. that darn fool is trying really hard to get me to spend more money. :D

umm..not sure about what the "true" capacity is for the rack. i designed it in such a way that the top row holds dvd's and the rest my cd's. but i'm maxing out in both counts so i'll probably keep it for cd's only and buy a separate one for dvds (bummer...i actually have to buy a rack to hold my...
joe - bummer on the timing man. that's gotta blow chunks big-time! i'm glad kong and jehan got it...i was actually thinking about you guys yesterday...calling you all sorts of names! :)
