btw guys - what exactly is the definition for "manga"? i was trying to explain it to a friend when i realized i wasn't even sure myself! :) i told her it was kind of like a "japanese comic book" or "graphical novel"....but i'm not sure if that's really correct or appropriate.

jim - jin-roh didn't really do it for me. it was just too...dunno...not exactly slow...kinda hard to put my finger on it. maybe too sombre? anyway...it wasn't terrible by any means, but i'd recommend a rental first if you can. the animatation is first-rate though. i just saw gunsmith cats...

welp...sunday was beserk day for me. my friend brought over the first three dvd's. we ordered a pizza, sat down and braced ourselves. i was not disappointed. the first few episodes didn't really do it for me. i thought the story was average. the animation was okay, but those "still shots"...

finally, something i can chime in on! ;) doug - i say go for the outlaw star boxset. i didn't realize it's only 65 bucks...heck...i may pick it up myself. "fun" is a really appropriate word to describe it. i like the characters and stories. it has action, humor and just about everything...

umm..not sure about what the "true" capacity is for the rack. i designed it in such a way that the top row holds dvd's and the rest my cd's. but i'm maxing out in both counts so i'll probably keep it for cd's only and buy a separate one for dvds (bummer...i actually have to buy a rack to hold my...
