I figured it out. Step 1: S97 must be set to 480P out; Step 2: set S97 Transfer Mode to Auto2, which accepts 30FPS signals; Step 3: do happy dance.

I need help. I have an Infocus SP4805 and a Panny S97 DVD player, both purchased in Seattle. Connected via component. I can't play PAL discs. I see the disc menu come up and is selectable. However, it appears as tho the picture is refreshing at the wrong rate. I get about half the screen filled...
