Leave it to beaver season 3?

I'm not sure I follow this. Some of the best looking DVDs on the market are B&W (both theatrical and TV). As long as something was shot in 35mm film, the image on DVD can be spectacular if the original elements are in good shape or if they've been properly preserved/restored.. Shout...

Leave it to beaver season 3?

Even though I tried to include all the appropriate caveats, I feel really bad now for linking to the Movie Irv column that briefly gave BEAVER fans what has turned out to be false hope. Since this isn't the first error he's made, one wonders what he's using for sources.

Leave it to beaver season 3?

Although not likely, Universal and Fox could release complete series boxes in a manner similar to how WHV handled the mega Astaire/Rogers box a couple of years ago. Specifically, two versions of the sets were sold. One had the whole shebang. The other provided empty cases that the consumer could...

Leave it to beaver season 3?

Potentially good news for fans of BEAVER... Movies Unlimited says that a complete series set is coming in 2009. Steve

Leave it to beaver season 3?

No DVD news unfortunately, but I do want to wish "the Beav" a happy Belated 60th Birthday. At least he doesn't look a day over 10 on TV. Man, I feel older just knowing that. :) Thanks for the update! Your show is quite enjoyable by the way, sorry I missed this particular episode.

I would wager the clip is at least 10 years old possibly from when Bill was hosting INSIDE EDITION. He looks much younger in the interview than he does now (notice the additional hair). There are some video clips of Barbara from 2000 where she looks older than she did in the O'Reilly clip

Leave it to beaver season 3?

Great question. My speculation is that CBS is interpreting the strong sales as being a result of keeping the releases affordable by splitting the seasons. In other words, two releases at $25-$30 each will sell better than a single $50-$60 release. So why risk ruining the success of the series...

Leave it to beaver season 3?

Hi Gary, Paul Brownstein can be an odd duck. I've been told (off the record of course) of his big ego which has caused more than one instance of friction between him and those who have worked with him. Still, he does a great job with the bonus features of these sets and often includes things...

Leave it to beaver season 3?

Shout Factory has a message board where their execs occasionally respond to questions. When a question was asked about whether Ironside S2 was coming Shout responded fairly quickly that it was. Perhaps one of the Beav's fans here should register at www.shoutfactory.com and be the advocate...

Leave it to beaver season 3?

It does seem strange, but Paramount, which released S1 of Perry Mason last year is releasing a 50th anniversary set this year which presumably will coincide with S2 or S3 since I can't imagine they'd switch to a best of right after a S1 release. I wouldn't read too much into the fact that...
