    I get that with this little coffee grinder. I use it to grind up some herbs for medicine for my dog. When I turn it on, the tv will jutter then go black until I shut the grinder off. What's a UPS ?

    This is where.... http://www.cnet.com/news/hdmi-vs-displayport-vs-dvi-vs-vga-which-connection-to-choose/ DVI generally doesn't do audio (it varies). So if you're using a TV, use HDMI. Since computer monitors don't usually have speakers, this isn't an issue. Unless I'm reading this wrong....

    The back of my tv has an HDMI IN and HDMI IN (DVI) inputs. Would my flickering issues be due to using one or the other ? My receiver is connected by the HDMI IN (DVI) input. Would switching to the plain HDMI input make any difference ? I've heard that DVI can have a problem with audio....
