    The Australian DVD of The Barbarian and the Geisha that I have looks great, so I wouldn't be surprised if the Blu-ray looks even better. It would probably be exactly the same transfer, but from the HD master.

    Very tempted by The Barbarian & the Geisha. It has some extremely beautiful cinematography by the hopelessly under rated cinematographer Charles G. Clarke (who shot most of Love is a Many Splendored Thing, even though the cinematography credit went to Leon Shamroy).

    The Egyptian Blu-ray is definitely region free as it works in my Blu-ray player when it is set to Region B or C. Which suggests the disc has been encoded for all regions, or it simply doesn't have region coding at all.
