I follow the Guinness approach. As long as the sediment doesn't get into the glass I'm good.

John, I'll have to see if I can find that when I hit the store in Dallas. It's a 4 hr drive but it's the best place for me to find beers like that. Speaking of that I found out I can't get Blue Moon here at all. So I'm adding that to my list of stuff to get while I'm out of state.

I've had some new Glarus before(namely the bock beer Ufda). If it is as good as that, I'm in for a treat! :)

Ron, I'll look for it since I'm big into Belgians. There is also another called New Glarus Wisconsin Red. Has won several awards. It's cherry based. Hoping my connections in Packerland can hook me up.

Found out why I can't get Fat Tire in Oklahoma. It is pasteurized and needs to be kept cold and due to Oklahoma's wierd laws, we're not allowed to sell beer in a fridge with more then 3.2% Regardless, It's still VERY good beer. Definitely a good lawnmowing type beer.

Yes I have actually. I didn't enjoy it at all. I can say now that I do not enjoy bitter beers and this one was very bitter.

I've tried a few of the Fullers(not the porter) and I wasn't too impressed. It just may not be my type of brew. On another note, anyone tried Orval? Supposedly its a Belgian so I'm going to try it but its a very small bottle and $5 a bottle at that

Red Stripe was also in the movie "The Firm". It's not bad but nothing special the last time I tried it. I'm anxious to try a Duvel which I can get my hands on from a friend. I'll report back.

I had a Chimay Grand Reserve last Saturday after I had a Pistoles. Myself and my friend both agreed that the Pistoles was better but it still reminds me of why I liked Chimay to begin with. For some reason these type of brews I like but as I said just don't drink a few blue margaritas before...

Any thoughts on Fat Tire from the beer enthusiasts? The last time I had this was in Breckenridge and it was pretty dang good. I need to try Duvel if I can find them.. I might have to make a Dallas trip or add some to my stack. Oh and I tried a new Unibroue: It's called get this "Terrible" and...

I got 14 Liter bottles of Trois Pistoles on the way. I can not wait!!! My friend is going to Dallas to buy a ton of it($600 worth) as he is thinking and a bit worried that the Unibroue deal might be bad...I hope not.

    Let's talk Beer

I tried a new one last night from the "New Glarus Brewing Co of Wisconsin " This was the Uff-da Bock. Highly recommended. Supposedly according to my friend they have another one called Wisconsin Belgian Red which is brewed with Cherries. I think we are going to try that next when my friends'...

    Let's talk Beer

I can't believe I forgot about this: Saturday night I had a Unibroue, Tres Pistoles. This was a large what I thought to be liter bottle that myself and my friend shared(he bought over 50 bottles and has them in storage..) and it's like drinking heaven in a bottle. Bar none the best beer I've...

I had a Boddington's but it was on tap at a local Irish place. That was one fantastic brew. I hope to god that Unibroe doesn't cancel Tres Pistoles. I guess I need to make a run down to Dallas to get some

Last night I picked up a 6'er of Negro Modela(sp?). I put it in the fridge for a while and cracked one open during the Laker game. Overall its a pretty solid dark brew. I prefer Bohemia though and would probably pick some up but again I'm not a heavy drinker at all. Overall not bad for a Mexican...

Trois Pistoles is the best beer I've ever had thus far. Buy it if you see it. AFAIK, The nearest place to me that has it is in Dallas :frowning:

I recently tried a Bohemia at a local tex-mex restaurant and I really like this one as far as Mexican Brews go. I would recommend this to folks. :emoji_thumbsup:

Lew, Oklahoma has stupid liquor laws that only allow you to buy 3.2% alcohol at most places at on certain days. The exotic beers are tougher to find like Unibroe. Chimay is about as exotic as it gets and honestly its pretty good but really isn't if you've ever had Tres Pistoles.
