Anybody who has heard lossless vs compressed will tell a difference. It's very obvious. DTS MA should be no different than PCM or Dolby True HD(as long as they don't use dial norm). PCM and DTHD are vastly superior to compressed DD and DTS, it's not funny.

Another option might be the Samsung universal player. That would eliminate any analog audio switching issues you might have.

Tim, IMHO the PS3 is the only player worth buying right now. Reason being the other players aren't going to be upgradable to BDJ Profile 1.1. Remember No analog outs on the ps3. It's only knock really. If you don't care about IME type features then the Panasonic is the best player IMHO. 7.1...
