I'm excited and a little depressed at the same time as My Dodgers haven't done diddly squat. I guess I can hold out for the trade deadline and hope they get their act together and they aren't out of contention by then. They could easily have a team era of 3 but a team batting average of .150...

John The counterpoint to that argument is how much of a competitor is the owner and how bad does he want to win. I will bet that Daniel Snyder is taking a loss in Washington(Redskins) and I will also be willing to bet that Mark Cuban is not making any money in Dallas(Mavericks) so you have to...

I'd sure like to the Pujols in Dodger blue(we could use a hitter) but that's likely not to occur(then again we have pitching in spades). Somewhere I've read about a connection from Maddux to Tracy(the Dodgers manager) so that might happen. Then again we(the Dodgers) need a bat or 2 or 5... :)

Robin Ventura resigned with the Dodgers. They would have to trade for him and to be honest if the Yankees go after him, Good RIDDANCE. Yet another poor move by the Dodgers.

Anyone else think Gagne is underpaid compared to the other closers even at 8 mill?

All of this time and my Dodgers haven't done squat worth noting. I get to wonder if they just traded Brown to pair down salary and had no intention to ever upgrade their hitting. I can't imagine they have had terrible luck signing a free agents if other clubs are getting them for what I'd...

I'm kind of happy that it didn't go thru and its only because Tom Hicks deserves to suck it up and eat the salary he is paying A-Rod. I don't doubt he deserves it as he to me is the best player out there and gives his all everytime but Tom needs to go get some complimentary players and build...

The Orioles are also close to landing Pudge Rodridguez which means Javy Lopez may get the shaft. Then again I hope the Dodgers make a play for him.

Well the Dodgers added a bat in the name of Juan Incarnacion. I'm not quite sure if this was the best move but he isn't that expensive..They didn't give away the farm though or much.

I don't think Pettite is a Number 1 starter and I don't think he'll be that great. I could be wrong and might be proven that way...also his elbow was questioned according to a few reports I've read. That of course could have been a cover up but I don't know.

I assume the Dodgers would get Frank Thomas then right? But yes this might not happen if Brown veto's the deal. I can't see why he would to be honest.

According to ESPN, Weaver looks to be bait for a bat for another team and honestly I don't blame them. The question becomes, what do they do about a shortshop. There is Tejada but he doesn't seem like he is favored much? They also have Perez who is being dangled around for a bat as well. They...

Marvin, LOL. I think the Reds are in the same boat too. On a side note, My Dodgers are killing me. They resigned Robin Ventura and that's about it. I get the feeling that they want to make a deal for Garciapara but they might not get that shot. I begin to wonder if Guerrero is the ticket...

From all reports there are 2 teams interested in Lopez right now: The Orioles and the Dodgers and then LA would move La Duca to first Base or trade him(mistake). Maddux hasn't resigned but I suspect he'll be in San Diego next year :) Thats my best guess.

Well the most recent reports say that the Mets and Dodgers are the top 2 with a few other teams(not including the Angels) were interested. I think alot of teams are waiting on Matsui t o decide before they go after A-Rod and Nomar. That's my speculation.
