I don't know if it has been mentioned in the thread yet, but Lucy Lawless is also joining the show this season. I picked up the blu-ray this weekend and marathoned up through the episode with Sif ("Yes Men"). I stopped there so that I could do the final run of 8 ("End of the Beginning" through...

No, it's a new character. They are adding a few this season. I believe the actor is Nick Blood playing a character called Lance Hunter. Also not included in the above picture is Mockingbird, who will join the show this season. I thought the below is an interesting article about the show...

Yep, great finale. May kicked ass in this one wailing on the centipede super soldiers with the berserker staff and nailing Ward's foot to the floor. Coulson blasting away with the destroyer gun was fun too. I don't "want" Fitz to die, but I'd have preferred if he drowned and was dead story wise...

While its not the same as having a major character betrayal, Agent Sitwell has been around for a while. He was in Thor and The Avengers. And he was in two Marvel One Shots, including being the lead SHIELD character in 'Item 47' on the Avengers BD. And, of course, he was in several episodes of...

It would be a stretch for Ward to be welcomed back to the team. I could see him possibly going off and doing his own thing, being an antagonist, an occasional obstacle, an occasional reluctant ally because of overlapping interests, etc...But him going back to being "on the team" would be lame...

New poster for next week's episode. Not bad, but I liked the last three more.

Yeah, Maria Hill. Cool that Triplet is the grandson of Gabe Jones. Clark Gregg really shines as Coulson get more emotional. Sky's reaction to the truth about Ward was a really nice performance from Chloe Bennet as well.

Yeah, that was great stuff. I'm really happy with what this show has become.

S.H.I.E.L.D. (Joss Whedon's Live Action Marvel Universe TV Series on ABC)

So no question now about Ward, he's been Hydra from the start and was putting on an act to gain the team's trust and learn the secret of Coulson's resurrection. Looks like he may have developed some attachments to the agents, but that ultimately doesn't change what he is and what he's done...

S.H.I.E.L.D. (Joss Whedon's Live Action Marvel Universe TV Series on ABC)

No speculation necessary about whether the show runners knew SHIELD would fall with The Winter Soldier, that is given and has been discussed by them openly. They had a difficult challenge working within the confines of that knowledge. They had to build up to it somewhat without telegraphing...

Poster for the next episode. There's supposed to be a new one for each episode 'til the end of the season (starting with last week's)

S.H.I.E.L.D. (Joss Whedon's Live Action Marvel Universe TV Series on ABC)

Yeah, and I'm hoping that's the case. It's the more dramatic way to go, and it is what we were shown in the episode. But with this type of show you can never be certain that they aren't trying to put one over on the audience. In this case I think it would be much better if things play out at...

Clearly you don't have to have seen the movie to understand what is happening on the show, but the story of the show is really meant to compliment the movie. The big reveal about Hydra and SHIELD is really the MCU's reveal. If one isnt interested in watching the movies then the show still...

Probably lots of surprise about Hydra and SHIELD and a little anger that the movie was spoiled. I would hope no one who hasn't seen the movie yet would watch this show first. Even before seeing this episode I knew it was likely to follow up on the events of the film. I've warned people away...

S.H.I.E.L.D. (Joss Whedon's Live Action Marvel Universe TV Series on ABC)

'Turn, Turn, Turn'I'm looking at two possibilities here:Ward is Hydra. Ward and Hand staged his turn so that he could infiltrate Hydra. I think either is cool. The first is obviously the most dramatic and would be the most kickass option. I feel it would be best for the show if they went that...

Anyone who watches this show NEEDS to see The Winter Soldier this weekend. There's really no way to discuss the potential future direction of the story without discussing the film. Wowzers!

For a second after reading your post I was like "whaaaaaaaaaaaaat?" Then I realized you must have watched a promo clip from The Winter Soldier after the episode. I got the sense that is what they were showing and I promptly averted my eyes and fast forwarded. Good episode! My understanding is...

Well now Chloe is saying this:Which is kinda BS, since that is certainly what she said. She said it was, and she was looking up information on the Kree in the comics to get a better understanding of what they are all about. So I wonder if she just wasn't good at articulating what she meant in...
