Unfortunately, that's far from a guarantee of a second season. Just because the network ordered more scripts doesn't mean any more episodes will be filmed. If NBC likes the scripts, then that would be a good sign. If not ...

But the problem with that is the DVD set probably won't come out until August - NBC will likely make a decision on the show's fate in May before the upfront presentation. So DVD sales won't factor into whether or not to renew the show (unless they make it a midseason replacement next year).
