Oh come on, saying a show's ending had "elements of sadness" is not a spoiler. That phrase could mean anything to anyone. The ending of The Next Generation had "elements of sadness" because it was the last time we'd see these characters on TV! You'd be hard pressed to find any television finale...
And for that matter, Battlestar Galactica ended the same way. The biggest problem I have had with Lost over the years is how willing the producers are to kill off major characters (seemingly, every sweeps season!), which cheapens the drama. Most of them died for nothing and didn't serve the...
I don't mean to be argumentative, but I don't buy it. That statue was holding an ankh, which is closer to the images of Sobek - who was the consort of Taweret, so there you go. I doubt this is something that will be explicitly explained on the show.
Possible spoiler for the fate of Juliet: Reports indicate Elizabeth Mitchell will be back, but not whether her character is alive going forward on the show.

This is a lengthy piece on the finale and the show, and discusses the many backgrounds, interpretations and possibilities of what we just saw. It's the best piece I have seen yet on this. 'Lost' recap: Starting over | Lost (Season 5 -- Episode 16: The Incident, Part 1) | 1 | TV Recaps |...
Who was the actor that played "Esau"/"Samuel"/anti-Jacob? From the article I linked to yesterday:
In all three shows, the main cast of characters are stuck in a very old struggle between two warring parties - really between two competing ideas. We've heard on Lost again and again that...
Seems like Faraday is dead as far as the show is concerned. No ambiguity here: Lost: Daniel Faraday Is Definitely Dead Or here: ‘Lost’ Producers Talk Surprising Death | Access Hollywood - Celebrity News, Photos & Videos
Hoping we see some sort of continuation of Faraday's character. He was the best of all the new characters introduced since the show began. There were hints from the writers in a recent interview that one of the deaths on the island this season would not be exactly what it seemed.
Watched some of the clip show. It was a faster-edited version of the Fast-Forward extra on the season 4 BD, with clips from the current season as well.
I thought it was a fun episode, with plenty of great lines, and an interesting backstory on a character that's been around a while and that we know little about.
I thought the plot about Kate taking Aaron because she "needed" him was really weak. It didn't advance the story or Kate's character one bit, and needlessly complicated what we saw before.
I just watched the "Conspiracy of Lies" extra on the season 4 blu-ray, and it was terrific. One of the most imaginative extras I've ever seen on a DVD, and exactly the sort of thing that would happen if the Oceanic 6 came back in the real world. Also, some heavy spoilers floating around for...
If Ben and Jack are intent on taking Locke's corpse back to the island, and are taking it from the coffin in the funeral home, it begs the question: Wasn't Locke embalmed? And can the island resurrect someone with no blood in their veins? (Zombie Island!)
I have a question that I will spoilerize because I don't remember if it is something from the episode or the preview: How does Ben know Jin is alive? We saw Ben leave the island at the end of last season. Has he been in contact with people from the island? Who? How?
Finally caught up with the first three episodes of the season this weekend, and I think it is off to a very good start. I agree that Fionula Flanagan is most likely Faraday's mother. What's amazing to me is how Lost introduces new characters each season that don't feel tacked on but become...
