^Totally agree. I’m also very sick of the mirror universe. I did appreciate Enterprise’s retro look though, which they nailed perfectly.

I enjoyed Bound, but you're right that they were trying to have TOS-style visuals in a modern context. Brannon Braga was still exec producing, after all. (He was notorious for overdoing the sexy stuff.) Nevertheless, after decades of the Orions being little more than background in the franchise...

Yes, Discovery could’ve distinguished itself by honoring TOS, instead it created an offshoot of Goblin Klingons (for lack of a better word), which were just horrible IMO. I always thought Gen. Chang in ST VI was one of the last to recover from the virus, as we see his facial ridges are much...

You're in the best moment in all of Enterprise, and one of the best in 800+ hours of Star Trek.

I tend to agree, although when it looked like Enterprise was going to be the end of Trek for a good while (which it was), it didn't seem to be a big deal. But now they've gone to the Soong well at least two more times and, well, enough is enough.

The difference between the Federation and the Denobulians was striking. It was a mature way to look at the issue, and show that the Federation wasn’t always right. It was refreshing.

Yup. Those are some of my favorite episodes of any Trek, and my favorite of Enterprise.

I always liked the Augments segment, but I also have grown tired of Spiner playing every Soong family member, most with a twinkle in the eye and an ulterior motive.

Season 4 is, by far, my favorite year. There's a new showrunner and it shows. I think the show was hitting all the right notes this season. It remains one of my favorite seasons of any Star Trek, up there with TNG S3, DS9 S5 & 6 and TOS S1 & 2.

Galactica is a great show; anyone who enjoys science fiction should watch it -- heck, anyone who enjoys good TV should watch! But that shouldn't take anything away from Enterprise's 4th season, which was pretty damn good.

I was just thinking the other day that I miss this show -- well, at least it's 4th season incarnation. SciFi has been running several episodes a week, and I've seen a few here and there, some of which I missed (mostly from the 2nd and 3rd seasons). I still think the 4th season is what the...

I've been watching the fourth season since it's arrival on DVD earlier this month, and again, I am struck by how damn good these episodes are. I didn't care much for the leftover Voyager plots in the first few years of the show, but it became more of an ensemble in the fourth season and the...

Right, as soon as Threshold is off the air (and I don't have an opinion on that, since I don't watch it), Braga may find himself available for Trek, if the Paramount folks are stupid enough to call him. Now, can we get Rick Berman to promise to leave it alone too? Please?

Have to share this asburd comment I read from Berman in the new issue of TV Guide. He said that the finale we just saw (These are the Voyages...) would have been the season finale even if the show was renewed for season 5. Yes, he said, Trip's fate would have been the same, but since the show...

Saw a review of the finale over on Cinescape.com. The reviewer obviously didn't read the credits for the episode because he thought that Manny Coto was responsible and wanted to know what happened to the quality shows from the 4th season. He says at one point: How deep into the "Trek camp"...

Wasn't some of the Ten-Forward footage reused from TNG? I thought they only built the wall behind Riker and Troi in that scene; all the rest seemed like old TNG footage.

Terra Prime was a great episode, and as some have said, the real finale for the series. Yes, it felt like Star Trek. These Are the Voyages... wasn't good. It wasn't horrible, but it was nowhere near the level of excellence the show had this year. The scenes with Frakes and Sirtis didn't work...

The damage was already done, and IMO, the decision to cancel was already made before Coto was put in charge. Paramount wanted 100 episodes or thereabout, and that's the only reason a 4th season was produced. Berman and Braga are to blame for the poor state of affairs in which the franchise finds...

What did you think of the CGI Gorn in the latest episode? I don't like CGI creatures, especially on TV (the ones done for Voyager were really bad) but I thought the dark lighting in the episode made the CGI Gorn work, but just barely. I was glad it was just a small piece of the episode and not...

That's because DS9 followed the same rules as TNG and most people in the Federation got along and were good folks, but the Federation came into conflict with the Cardassians, the Bajorans, the Klingons, the Jem Hadar, the Changelings, the Vorta, and so on. DS9 found sources of conflict within...

No thanks. Alias has suffered from the same affliction as the X-Files -- too many silly, unresolved threads, too much inconsistency in the characters. Lost is another multi-layered mystery that I'm worried will end up as unsatisfying as the final seasons of the X-Files. If you want to bring in...

Just watched Mirror Part 2 and I really liked it. To me, it shows that the cast was never the problem - it was the writing, and this episode had some pretty darn good writing. I wish like anything the show was continuing with Coto at the helm. I will be really looking forward to Season 4 on...

I enjoyed part one of the Mirror Universe story. I was surprised that the episodes take place without the regular-universe characters, but that was a nice twist. It also explains why Kirk and crew had no idea of a parallel universe 100 years later. I'll say it again: With episodes this good...

I liked the most recent episode (Bound). I thought it was a good romp, lots of fun. As someone else said, it harkened back to the days of TOS, and it did it well.

I always wanted to see a prequel with uniforms and technology from Capt. Pike's time. I also think all the series after TNG have been too dark. Enterprise and Voyager have starships that are in almost complete darkness all the time. (DS9 was dark too, but not so much in Ops or Sisko's office.)...

What invigorated the show this year was the new creative team. If the show had a different creative team from the beginning, it might have been successful off the bat. As many articles about the show's cancellation pointed out, it premiered in 2001 with good ratings (about 12.5 million viewers...

That latest spoiler is certainly a better way to end the series thanmaking the series a holodeck "dream", but with Berman and Braga writing it, I will remain very skeptical until it airs.
