Criterion Press Release: Dressed To Kill (Blu-ray)

This bit put's it in context: Based on the info at the time, he's not wrong, and wasn't wrong. Hell, it's unclear if De Palma want's it un-squished, so Mr. Harris might still be right and we're now getting a non-Director approved blu-ray.

Criterion Press Release: Dressed To Kill (Blu-ray)

Exactly, there's nothing for you to "buy". De Palma requested a correction, Criterion followed through with his wishes and found that it didn't work as they intended, and now there is a replacement as the fat heads is a better choice.

Criterion Press Release: Dressed To Kill (Blu-ray)

My guess is a mistake happened after DePalma approved the transfer and a check disc was made. I doubt Criterion will ignore it, I believe they have been pretty good about this stuff in the past.

Criterion Press Release: Dressed To Kill (Blu-ray)

Aside from the presumed stretching, I think the Criterion looks pretty good. I'll wait for some HTF reviews before writing this one off.
