Trying to start my car and finding a dead battery. Realizing that the problem is that my brake lights are always on. Taking the car to a place that wants to charge me a $100 diagnostic fee, even though the problem is simple and straightforward.
Not so much an annoyance as a source of bemusement. Last year, my sister decided to move to California from Colorado. Yesterday she called me on the way back from Catalina. "There are too many people and too many freeways here!". My response: You were expecting something else?
Yeah, my sister said I should catch one for Thanksgiving. Reminds me of the time when I went with my mom shopping in downtown Denver. When we got back to the car, there were two live turkeys in the back seat!
The doctor didn't give me something I asked for because I saw it on television. I had never heard of it. He said "I'm prescribing this for you". He did not inform me of its side effects. That is not something that encourages me to trust doctors to keep me well informed. Whenever a doctor...
I've become quite experienced at backing into a parking space. Leaving is much easier and quicker. :)
Big annoyance over the weekend: What IS it with old people and the INSISTENCE on writing checks instead of using an ATM card? So annoying.
Many years ago I was driving home at 2 am. I stopped at a red light and waited...and waited...and WAITED. Finally, I looked around and saw NO cars in any direction as far as the eye could see, at which point I proceeded.
Super annoyed today. The ribbon midrange in my right speaker died, and that item is no longer made. I'm having to buy twelve equivalents for both speakers, since I can't have mismatched midranges. Gotta have some custom woodwork done, gotta recalibrate the audio, etc. etc. What a pain.
The weather here in Southern California is indeed nice, especially in the winter. But palm trees aren't needed here, and should never have been brought here as far as I'm concerned. My big ones even tried to murder my nice little cherry tree. Ok, so it was actually the wind that blew palm...
The damn things should stay in the Carribean, where no one cares if they drop hundreds of sticky messy seeds that wind up sprouting lots more of the useless bitches (it's the female trees that produce the seeds). God, I hate palm trees.
Hey Mike, I'll trade you my palm trees for your silver maple trees. :) At least they give shade. So they're the ones with the little helicopter seeds?
No such animal in my yard.
Palm trees. They don't give fruit, they don't give shade, and they spread dozens of annoying little palm trees all over the place. I hate the damn things. Lately, I've been on a palm tree killing spree in my yard.
I actually find it much scarier that you're scared of the fact that some people disagree with you than any of the things you mentioned. Unfortunately, thinking for one's self seems to be taking on negative connotations in today's culture. I find that annoying. :)
