    thanks for that...of the few stretched displays I have seen, I found them to be disturbing, fat and squatty. So based on that, I thought most my viewing would be in 4:3. How does Sony do their 4:3 stretch? Do you also think that would no be noticable? I know the only way to be sure for myself...

    How many hours of 4:3 viewing to cause an issue? Most of my viewing would be 4:3 material as my cable does not offer HDTV. Im assuming I would mostly use the non stretched mode, so I would have grey bars left and right. My 16:9 viewing would almost be exclusively DVD. Im looking at buying a 65"...
