There is good news as Amazon has posted three different links this morning. One is for the Blu-ray at $17.99 MSRP with two being 4K releases with one of them being a Steelbook. The 4K/UHD's are priced at $25.99 and $30.99.

I doubt it will include a Blu-ray disc with only the 4K disc in this release. Maybe, a digital code, but that’s questionable too.

With a new 4K/Dolby Vision digital now on the streaming services, it looks more likely to happen than not. It's no guarantee, but it's a distinct possibility.

I bought the HD digital for $4.99 back in 2018. It's been reduced to that price at least ten times since then. It's been reduced to $6.99 and $7.99 a number of times too during that period of time. I don't know how much the 4K upgrade affects future price reductions, but I would be patient...

There is no guesswork because it still plays back in 4K/Dolby Vision. Anyhow, let’s not turn this thread into another ad nasuem discs vs streaming thread.

Don’t get me started about the AppleTV app on my ATV4K units! I can’t get any of my ATV4K units to display my digital libraries through the AppleTV app. I can use the search function on the AppleTV app and pull up any of my library titles, but only individually when using the app with my ATV4K...

I actually played the first ten minutes of the digital on my 4KAppleTV unit and it played back in 4K Dolby Vision.

By the way, my iTunes HD Digital of "Dragonslayer" has upgraded to 4K/Dolby Vision.

Then don’t purchase these 4K discs.

Like you Walter, I saw this in a movie theater too and feel the same way about the visuals. I have the iTunes HD digital, but would love to improve upon that digital with a physical disc or a digital from a more recent scan that has the best possible presentation.

It's funny how movie detractors always show up in threads like this one to express their negative opinion. I guess it makes them feel better to let us know how they feel about a certain movie.:D
