NFL has 3 days to appeal the suspension.

NFL might appeal this 6 game suspension. They might want a more severe suspension. The Browns should be happy with this suspension.

When I responded to your post, I did so on my cell phone in a movie theater. I didn't grasp the four year requirement in your post and just fixated on first round picks from the same draft.

Try the Raiders back in 1980, with Jim Plunkett and Dan Pastorini. First and third overall picks in 1971 draft. By the way, Archie Manning was the 2nd pick in that draft.

There is nothing wrong with increasing your earning potential. I'm sure those commercials were filmed in the offseason so I doubt it affects his preparation on being an NFL QB and leader. Baker's issues runs deeper than filming a few commercials.

I don't think those commercials have anything to do with his struggles as an NFL QB.

So much for Baker being in any Progressive Insurance commercials this upcoming NFL season. His brand name has taken a severe hit.

I have no idea except the suspension will be substantial so at least 8 games and possibly the season or even a two year ban.

If I remember correctly, the Browns contract only calls for a base salary of $1M for the 2022 season. No doubt, they structured the contract that way because they expect him to miss a significant amount of the 2022 season due to suspension.

The Browns ownership made a terrible decision and now they have to live with it. All of that draft capital they traded away for Watson.
