The argument will never cease with some because it's a legitimate issue with them. For the rest of us, it's not an issue so there is little or no argument as we continue to enjoy this BRD release.

Yes, you are being rude.
What's really a shame is you think you're right and anybody oppose to your viewpoint or don't share your passion for this issue is wrong.
Ignorance is the lack of knowledge, anyone reading this thread has been educated on the color situation so it's not "ignorance", it's more like some are bother by the color shift more than others. It's all in the eyes and the different HT displays.
Why would any reasonable person try to look for trouble if they're happy with what they're seeing? People didn't pay $70 or more to look for reasons not to like this BRD release if their initial reactions to it are positive.
Like I stated beforehand, if you see it then it's there for...
As far as I'm concern, anybody that has actually watched the discs in question, has a valid opinion, even if I don't see the same video issues they do with these discs.
It doesn't matter what that cinematographer has to say as the masses are making up their own minds in regard to the video presentation of that BRD.

I finished the trilogy this weekend and thought all three films had similar color pallete to them and thought they all looked great to my eyes.
Crawdaddy
Well, I finished the second disc of LOTR and it looked fine to me and much better than any previous video format release.
Next up is Two Towers, but I might hold off until this weekend. However, I wanted to ge through the first movie in its entirety now because it was the one that was...
I simply don't understand it as this issue has become so overblown and people have taken it much too personally while becoming so combative towards one and other.
Crawdaddy
I just viewed the first disc of LOTR in it's entirety and thought it looked beautiful and is a much better video presentation than the theatrical cut previously released on BRD.

The discs are now out, so judgement of them is out of the hands of the reviewers or those that want to judge them simply on screen caps. My boxset is being delivered today so my eyes will become the judge of them in my household. It doesn't matter what others have to say about them any longer...
There is a way to make your point without putting down those that aren't HT enthusiasts? Furthermore, it remains to be seen if the majority of the home theater enthusiasts views this as an issue that needs a fix. Stay tuned to later this week.

The humor was lost on me!
The problem is a lot of what's posted isn't indisputable evidence because they haven't even seen the product in question. Thank God, this blu-ray is getting release this week so that more of us can make up our own minds based on what our eyes are actually viewing...
Unless, this so-called green tint fails my eye test while viewing the actual discs then it's not a problem from my personal perspective. What others do in regard to this release is up to them.
Crawdaddy
I take exception to such a negative comment when just about all of us haven't even seen the discs in question. I think most of us are reserving judgement until we do see them.
Crawdaddy
Bill,
Thank you for your comments and in my opinion, you have thoroughly explained your thought process on this matter. I'm looking forward to receiving my preorder and watching these discs to judge for myself.
