I love his stand-up in the pilot. "Vere is ze rabbit?!", "Did I happen to mention...that he found the cure for polio?! My Jonas? He's mine, I love him!"
Season 1 finale - The Group - Larry's uncle is run out by the crazed incest victim, no high note
Season 2 finale - The Massage - Larry is punished for trying to steal forks from a restaurant and is seen by all of the network executives. He tells them all off, sort of a high note, but not really.
Great New Yorker article. Has anyone else actually seen Sour Grapes? I thought it was pretty good, and for $5 on DVD it's a no-brainer. Too bad it's 4:3 (not sure how it was filmed) and 2-channel.
Yeah I think Jeff moved too. Maybe to a better home/neighborhood for raising a kid? Or is that the same house from S3 that Larry wouldn't take the tour of? I think it is.
It looks like in the next episode Larry's starting to rehearse for the play.
Larry, talking to a blind guy:
You'd have to be Flash to dance like that!
Who?
Flash, the - the guy in the red costume.
I don't even know what red is.
It's hard to talk to a blind guy, you have no...
I enjoyed it. Larry swallowing the pill dry was hilarious.
What's the etiquette with the hand shake right after a sneeze? I thought LD's move was justified.
Wow, you work up quite an appetite standing around doing nothing.
For that whole ending scene I was like "Shut up, Larry - don't say it" and yet he did :)
10/27 - The Corpse Sniffing Dog
Great episode, Curb really got back on track with this one. Sure, it was a lot like The Doll, what with Jeff's wife screaming at Larry to "Bring [her] the fucking dog!" but still a great episode.
What do you say?
Thank you!!
*smirk*
You don't often get...
The whole opening scene was just to set up him having the counterfeit bills. Oh well. The ending was good, but the rest of the episode was kind of 'eh'. Best ending still goes to 'The Doll'.
It was weird that they used Richard Kind, who is kind of a well-known actor I think and not have...
Definitely the weakest so far. The great "It's like eating a delicious sponge!" was given away in the promo, and "Fuck Hugh" was probably the best of the whole episode. But that's about it.
Why would the son be swimming naked at a pool party anyway?
Oh my god, tonight's episode was great. One of the best I think. Great ending.
I can't believe how insane that woman was who said Larry was following her.
Larry freaking out when he spilled the cranberry juice and then going "time is of the essence!" was hilarious.
Yeah I was thinking that too John, how we never actually see her face when it's messed up.
Throughout the Emmys, they had these little clips of the shows that were nominated for Outstanding Comedy and Outstanding Drama, where the actors/producers would explain what the show was about and...
It was hilarious when Larry was trying to convince Cheryl that the restaurant was a good idea and they could make a lot of money and Cheryl's response was great, "Oooh I hope so!"
