Everyone,
I'm still blown away by the 600's sound and capabilities and we're enjoying it immensely. With the approach of summer, my wife and I "have" to do a ton of movie watching to make use of the 2-for-1 DVD rental cards Sony sent us following our DVD player purchase this past January... for...
ChadLB,
Getting it from OneCall sounds like a good idea. Hope you get yours soon. :emoji_thumbsup:
I'm thoroughly enjoying the 600. I'm new to the game, but I found this easy to set-up and it runs my system smoothly. While I'm in no way an audiophile, I think I recognize and appreciate the...
Everyone,
Got my 600 hooked up and running and everything sounds awesome. :emoji_thumbsup: I have an odd-shaped 20 X 12 rooom (with an extra 9 X 8 bumpout along the wall where all my HT gear is set up; viewing area is in main room), and the 600 has driven my system (Axiom Epic Master)...
elMalloc,
Energy's recommendation for their 5.2's (and even the Encore's) surprised me as well. Their manuals seem to be "pretty good" for what else I've seen out there, so I listed them as a reference. Most of the recommendations I've seen recommend "small" for all (bookshelf/small...
Jay,
I've mostly heard that speakers set to "small" is the way to go, but looking in the online manuals for Energy's Take 5.2 and Encore systems (two systems I considered before buying my setup), they recommend the "large" setting for the best overall sound unless you listen to very loud music...
Jason,
Just got back from CC with my price-match refund of $26.14. Thanks again for the receipt. It was funny... the guy behind the service counter goes "Where is this Circuit City located?" when I said that I found a CC selling the 600 at a lower price. I said, "Orlando, FL" and his jaw...
Jason, Grady:
Jason, Thanks for the e-mail of the receipt... I'll do battle with CC for the $25 price difference since I have to head to that part of town today anyway.
Grady, my choices were the 600 or the Denon 1802. I have the Denon color brochures for the 1802 and the 2802, and the 2802...
Wayne & Greer,
You both make good points... it's nice to have a plethora of shops, sources, and options nearby, but it can be overwhelming. The net provides a great resource and keeps prices reasonable. Example: a set of Lovan stands I wanted for my mains was $130 + tax from my local store...
Hey everyone,
Just got my 600 today from Circuit City. Paid for it last week and they did a store transfer from another location about 30-40 miles away. Had a tough time getting them down from their $499 price, but was able to get it to $449 and it was $474 out the door like other posters...
