Rene ("Drew Marshall") is one of the work buddies Jason confided in along with momma's boy, Hoyt. I think it would be too easy for it to be Rene considering all of the evidence that suggests it him - we're almost certainly headed for a swerve. I'm going with Hoyt as the killer.

Someone over at AVS posted that they remember a scene, earlier in the season with Sam and the dog, where he said said something to the dog and then referred to it as "brother".

I think there is more to it and her ability plays a huge role in his attraction towards her, though I could be wrong.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, the wait for Season won't be too long. I think I read that's scheduled to premiere in June 2009.

Well we now have official confirmation that Sam is the dog. We're down to the last 3 episodes of Season One and things keep getting better and better each week. I'm really glad I stuck with the series - I was ready to give up after the 2nd episode. I feel really bad for poor Eddie.

Another strong episode last night. It was nice to see Stephen Root turn up as "Eddie".

I think JediFonger was referring to the fire at the end of the episode not whether or not Bill is, the "living dead".

You might be onto something. I vaguely remember that they were outside, in front of the house (not on the porch, either) when Sookie asked Bill to leave a few weeks ago.

She did, but maybe their "connection" has something to do with how he is able to bend the rules a bit?

That's the impression I've been under ever since Bill explained "how it works" to Sookie earlier in the season (episode 2, I believe).

Finally this show appears to be hitting it's stride. I am so glad I decided at the last minute to watch tonight's episode instead of giving up. It was what a lot of us had been waiting for. The preview for next week looks great, too.
