That's very interesting and unexpected. Now I'll have two 4K versions to compare. I wonder if it'll be similar to the 1979 Dracula? The first release had saturated colors, the second release was almost black and white.
I'm sure it won't be that dramatic, but I was perfectly happy with the way...
Watched the first 4 episodes of disc 1 last night. The quality is AMAZING! They look and sound sound like they were filmed yesterday!
@Johnny Angell (in Leo Gorcey's voice) I resemble that remark. :D
Watched the 3D version. No ghosting! Colors pop! 3D is AMAZING! No complaints whatsoever.
Skipped through the 4K flat version. Take these photos with a grain of salt. They look more saturated than what I'm actually seeing on my 135" diagonal Panavision screen. Can't help that. I used my new...
30's here with light snow. Thanks for rubbing it in! :D
I do have 4K as well. Will check out both the 3D and 4K versions later. Of course I'll be watching the 3D on my Sharp DLP projector first!
Dear Bob (and company), Watched in Polarized 3D (Naturally). Thanks for your continuing efforts to restore and release these films before the surviving elements crumble to dust and are lost forever to history. Without your passionate contributions to the cause, our home 3D film library would be...
And the rocket ship seems to be insipred by 1951's Flight to Mars!
BTW, Gotta love that Rhedosaurus! (or as I always prefered to call it, "Reed"osaurus) :D
Back then, it was also one of the first, if not THE first "X" rated film that I ever saw. And truth be told, at 18 years of age, I was more attracted by the film's rating than I was with it being in 3D! ;)
The first polarized 3D film that I ever saw in a theater. It only took about 50 years for a return engagement. And within my lifetime yet. How lucky can a guy get? :)
My favorite? I'd have to say 3-D Rarities. This is one of my "go to" 3-D demo discs that I use to impress visitors.
But really, any of the restored titles that the archive is responsible for are worthy additions to any serious collector of classic 3-D films.
Two titles that I wasn't expecting...
My Sharp 30K DLP projector will be warmed up and ready to roll! :)
3D Is alive and well in Beacon Falls! :3dglasses:
Thanks to Bob and his entire team of restoration experts for continuing to support the third dimension!
I've probably seen every episode of The Adventures of Superman at least 20 times! So perhaps, since the quote "No comment until the time limit is up" is from that 1950's era TV show.... Maybe.... Revenge of the Creature???
