I was more than a little disappointed. I thought that was, generally, pretty poor for a show I've come to really love. Essentially, a 'what if' dream episode followed by a twist that was so confusing we had to have the Observers TELL us what happened in the previous scene. I'm not even...
It's a good point, Josh...and an idea that I'm considering myself. Even if it's not exactly as you lay out, I think it is quite possible that a lot may have happened 'in between' Peter entering the machine and landing in front of Freedom Tower in Universe 3. Only he (and possibly Olivia) will...
This really is the best sci-fi we've seen in some time. Let's hope it ends better than the previously promising BSG. Methinks Peter must have landed in some alternate reality. A "third" universe, if you will. I keep thinking of Back To The Future 2. Remember, Peter didn't want to destroy...
Wow...that's quite a wall of text. But, I agree. Walter has shown time and again he 'believes' in a higher power. It may not be the same God most look to, but he definitely believes. The single malt? I dunno about that. I don't think I've ever seen Walter drink the hard stuff!
She didn't even know. And, it's easy to think they'd miss her family medical history. I'm curious about the quickly growing baby. Does the machine really even care if the person is a grown man? I guess we'll find out. I have to hearken back to the prediction that the universe that...
Far more worrisome is the ratings for Friday. All-time low for Fringe and that is not good. I'm really enjoying Torv and I love the metaphysical aspects of the show right now. But, I'm not sure how much more we are going to get...
That's a freaky weird idea, Will. Making it conceivable for this show... Also, remember that Fauxlivia has her mom still. Olivia was experimented upon, and has no mother. Tons of trust issues. As for ratings...we saw an uptick this week. I think if it upticks again next week along...
I enjoyed this week for the most part...but, the combination of last week's soapish "Whichever Olivia Peter chooses will determine which universe survives" and now the pregnancy really bugs me. And, now we find this week had the worst ratings yet. Not good news.
No. We really don't know much about him at all. I guess we've now learned he is the author of "The First People"? That seems to be what Nina was saying. So...he's not human. A fallen observer? Something we haven't seen yet?
I've been loving this show...until this week. Did they seriously just play the nooky card? What crap is that? Whichever Olivia he picks, that universe will live? LAME.
Exactly! The guy has an inter-dimensional spy communication post in his shop...but, he's given absolute freedom to travel around? They don't search the store, him, his house, etc. for the item? A clear misstep by the writers.
My opinion is that both sides have part of the device. Half here, half there. The 'first ones' who created it knew about the other side and either traveled there or communicated with that side in order to build it. My problem with last night's episode was the simplicity of the hook - if...
I don't think Olivia has changed...she's putting on an act. However, she has gained some (if not all) of alternate-Olivia's memories as well. Her best move was to do what she did. She's stuck there for now...so, learn as much as she can from the inside. Unfortunately, she will have to...
